John McCormick's Former History Classroom
at the Riverton Public School

Mr. John McCormick taught history to 8th graders at the Riverton Public School. He has taught history since the early 1970s in New Jersey.
Former classroom of Mr. John McCormick, at the Riverton Public School, resembled a wing of the British Museum with reproductions of ancient, medievel and modern art, cultural artifacts and period clothing.
Mr. McCormick's collection included  local native American hand tools found along the Delaware River from Pennsauken to Burlington. This native American artifacts were donated by Jeff Cole.
Riverton resident, Mr. Jeff Cole, excavated these arrowheads, axe heads and cutting tools during fhis field trips and digs to local farms and along the river bank as early as the 1960s. 
During Mr. McCormick's three decades in education he brought world history to life in his classroom by sharing historical interpretations of  events that enriched the learning experience for his students.
