The Riverton Yacht Club is the oldest club on the Delaware River. Steamer service by the Warner, the Twilight and the Columbia steamboats earned them the nickname "The Three Musketeers" for their numerous trips on the Delaware River.
Steamer service, except for the Wilson line, essentially disappeared on the Delaware by 1922.
The club house on the Riverton Pier was constructed in 1880-81. The first elected Commodore was Casper W. Morris.
The Riverton Yacht Club is the ninth oldest club in the United States.
